Stage Clear Episode 10 - We have friends! Lots!
In a slightly more sedate episode than last week's comic misadventure we cover the all singing all dancing social gaming scene. So we get into Rock Band, SingStar, Buzz and all that mainstream jazz you proper gamers turn your noses up at. In bollocks of the week we look at the after effects of Demigod having its street date broken and in You Should(n't) Play This Rob talks about a game I've never heard of, seemingly just to show off that he can read Japanese.

Our reader question for this week: Tell us the MMO horror stories you or your friends have been involved in? Did WoW ruin your life? Did your dog delete a £3k character in Everquest?
SC9 - Mission to Wackyville!
A more light hearted and topical gaming treat awaits you in this week's episode. It was my birthday yesterday so it's a day late, and I guess that's just something you're going to have to live with.
In our comedy themed Big Issue we talk about MadWorld, Host Master and the Conquest of Humour and Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust. In bollocks of the week we follow two ridiculous Nintendo related stories, and in You Should(n't) Play This I forgot to make any notes while Rob clearly did so I look a right idiot.

Our reader question for this week: What's the most emotional experience you've had playing a video game?
Issue 8 - SCANDAL AT 30 MILLION BYTES
Another long and not so topical issue this week as we take a glance at the gaming media. Rob being part of this has rather a lot to say, some of it even interesting. In bollocks of the week we try to avoid the OnLive issue and take a look at indie gaming business models. In you shouldn't play this Rob defends the best duck hunt game in years and Perrin slags off a Lord of the Rings title. We are getting very professional at all this aren't we?

Our reader question for this week: What BIG ISSUE would you like us to cover?
And now for something completely similar...
This week's podcast is on its way but as we only recorded it late on Tuesday it won't be up until later in the day than usual. Not to fear your Wednesday dose of Stage Clear is assured, but just not as prompt as we've been so far.
In the meantime we figured we'd launch a new feature. Perrin's started playing EVE Online, his first serious spin with an MMO and he's been documenting it as a series of short videos. The first three are now available for viewing online and we might put up a download version once we get around to it.
This is the first of what we hope will be many video features on Stage Clear, so if you want to give these a spin check out our EVE Online Diaries page and let us know what you think.
Stage Clear VII: Adventure on the High Seas
We're running slightly long this week at a little over 50 minutes as Perrin and Rob get into a rambly discussion about the ins and out of video game piracy. It's taken us 7 weeks longer than we expected to actually have some serious on air disagreements but who knows if it was worth the wait?
In bollocks of the week we take a look at a storm in a tea cup brewing over Tale of Tale's The Path and generally talk a load of the same kind of rubbish we do every week. Why are you still downloading this rubbish?

iTunes Users: I screwed up the time stamp on the last episode, so if you've grabbed that already iTunes think it's from April. This means your iTunes won't auto download new episodes for the next few weeks. You'll have to manually hit the download button. Sorry about this.
Reader's question for next week: If you could bring back one old forgotten game or franchise you loved and feel has now been forgotten what would it be? Answers in the comments thread please. Best answer wins +4 self esteem!
Stage Clear 6: Return of the Undead Game Geeks from Zombie Hell!
This week we focus on the wonderful world of horror games, talking about the hallmarks and variety of this pseudo-genre and dig into some recent releases including Resident Evil 5, Silent Hill: Homecoming and House of the Dead: OVERKILL. In bollocks of the week Rob makes some possibly inappropriate comments that might get us into trouble and there's a whole lot more fun in these 45 minutes of silliness.

We mention the amazing A Life Well Wasted in this week's podcast. Pretty much the best gaming podcast out there, better than ours or anyone else's too. It's worthy stuff you should be listening to.
Reader's question for next week: If you could go inside one game, as it if was real, which game and why? Answers in the comments thread below. Come on, give us your best shot!
Stage Clear Vth Vanguard! Freebies ahoy!
In our effort to find a more whimsical topic we've decided to cover online Flash games. There's some really interesting stuff out there in terms of quality and a variety and we give a run down of some of Perrin's favourites while Rob voices is his disapproval and appropriate intervals. Included below (under the read more link) is a full list of the games we covered if you want to try them out for yourself.
I'd tell you what we cover in Bollocks of the Week and You Should(n't) Play this but I think that would ruin the surprise.
Also for next week's show we want you to let us know your answer to the following: "If you could adapt any horror film or series into a game, what would it be and how would you make it work as a game?". Answers in the comments thread or via our contact form and we'll discuss it in next week's show.

Stage Clear Type 4. Smooth driving... so smooth.
This week downloadable content and downloadable games are the issue of the day. We ponder on the significance of DLC, or lack thereof. We get confused by Noby Noby Boy, fall in love with Flower and decide when it comes to pricing what we really hate is moaning gamers. Bollocks of the week takes a look at the PSP2/PSP Phone rumours. In fact there's loads more but why don't you listen to it yourself and find out? Go on. What's wrong with you?

Third Strike! Like persistant lightning...
3 weeks and 3 podcasts, it's almost like we're competent. Last week we talked about multiplayer shooters, this week single player shooters. We promise we'll be talking about less testosterone driven stuff next week. But for now Perrin takes a bash at F.E.A.R. 2 and FarCry 2 while Rob brings us a look at Resistance 2 and an "accidental early review of Killzone 2".
On top of that we delve into the thorny issue of MMO server logs, the merits of Lara Croft and Rob's destructive encounter with God of War 2. All that and more, and we're not even charging!

Second Impact! We're back...
We're back again, for a second week of the Stage Clear podcast. I'd say "by popular demand" but I think "by sheer stubbornness" is more accurate. Things went a lot better this week, we've kept it down to about 45 minutes, audio quality is a lot clearer and we've broken it up into what we hope are some interesting segments.
The main topic of the week is multiplayer games, primarily shooters and the like. So we ramble on about Call of Duty, Halo, Left 4 Dead while Rob tries to convince the world of the importance of server browsers.
As usual your feedback is everything. Let us know what you think as we try to evolve this podcast into something we hope is as much fun for you to listen to as it is for us to make.

I've added in some musical breaks between segments, I've lifted these from firebrandboy at the 8bitcollective. They're were rather nicely available under creative commons and so is this podcast.
